Real & True

⁸ Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

I find myself in the position of being reminded by the Lord to think only on what is real and what is true. It is so easy to play out scenarios in our head based on how people have acted in the past. While there may be some basis in truth for a possible outcome, the fact is we don’t know what will be real.

I then find myself having a “slap in the faith” conversation with the Lord about renewing my mind and thinking about only what is real and what is true. The level of peace this brings me is exponential. The next time you find yourself jumping down a rabbit hole of “what ifs” and overthinking, stop and reset onto what is real and what is true. It will never steer you wrong.
